C. Allen Parker is Presiding Partner of Cravath, Swaine & Moore. ==Early life and career== Allen Parker was born in Jacksonville, Florida.〔http://www.cravath.com/aparker/〕 He received a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Duke University in 1977 and a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago in 1980. He then earned a Juris Doctorate magna cum laude from Columbia Law School in 1983, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Notes and Comments Editor of the Law Review.〔(MarketWatch.com ) 〕 After graduating, Parker served in a clerkship with Amalya Lyle Kearse of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Parker joined Cravath in 1984 and became a partner in 1990. He was elected Deputy Presiding Partner in October 2006.
